Television - a great invention of humanity.
History
When I was a child I used to watch it all day long. As I remember, my parents let me watch scary movies with them. So, I was a pre-school child when I saw Aliens, Predator, Back to the Future, The Lawnmower Man and others. And, of course, TV was for Simpsons for quite a long time (and for Futurama).
Then I went to school. I kept watching everything with my family in elementary school.
In middle school I liked to do my homework watching TV. I did not feel alone this way as there was no one with me at home at this time. It was a time of series like Charmed, Smallville and much more.
Now I am not watching TV. Well, maybe only TV commercials. I like this Christmas ads of Coca-Cola. It is like… like there is no Christmas without it.
Not watching TV: disadvantages
Not watching TV has some disadvantages. First is that you can not understand something connected with it. Lots of people spend their time watching TV, so the next day they are speaking about programs or ads that they saw. And I feel like I don't know something important - what to tell on this matter. So I keep silent (I keep silent almost all the time, though…). The second disadvantage is that you do not know the news. It sucks. I'd better check them in the Internet more frequently.
In summer
In summer everything changes. As there is not much to do but to read, walk and watch TV, I do the latter not rarely. Really, summer is the time, when I rewatch a lot of films. Especially, at night.
