Poetry is beautiful.
I'm keen on it and I like poetry books the most. Especially when they are pretty and not big. I have an old little lyrics book in my shelf. It has poems on different themes and that is why I like it.
Among poetry I like rhymed poems with good rhythm like Russian poetry. Also I like to read Japanese poetry because it is unique and it can have something unexpected in every poem - tanka or haiku.
My poetry
The very first poem I came up with was a simple rhyme of some marine-man and violin. I do not remember the exact thing because I was like 5-6 years old.
Then I tried to write poems in Russian. I wrote some. About my mother who went away for a while and about the moon - all I can remember. I wrote it at night watching out of the window in my first green copy-book for stories.
Also, I tried to write poems in English and they were like from children books about everything - Moon, City, Stars… By the way, I wrote them lying on my belly on the bed and I used Katya Kravchenko's paper that he gave me in the elementary school - it was paper for counters cut into halves. Endless paper.
Then during my Great Depression I wrote some beautiful poems that I can't belive that I wrote myself now. They are very thoughtful and unrealistic about dying and life and dream and the strength of a person in the world.
